Harvey & Emma
Harvey was our poor little boy that had been used for target practice with a beebee gun.
He's now in a wonderful home with an extended human family AND another RSR recue, yellow lab Emma!
This is truly a very happy ending for both our beautiful boy and girl! What a win!!!
Noah
Noah (left) “is a perfect little guy with great manners and is a real lover!”
says his adopter Judith from Massachusetts. He doesn’t mind sharing anything with his
brother Rory (right), including his two Boston and Narragansett Bay homes.
Noah graduated puppy school with flying colors and gives great joy to his new parents,
their grown children and their 6 year old grandson.
Daisy
Daisy is living the good life in New Jersey with her brother and sister,
Amber and Kip, two Pomeranian rescues.
Daisy was a bit timid when she was rescued, but thanks to an amazing adopter,
(Chris) who graciously takes on the most challenging cases, she has come out of her shell.
Daisy graduated from basic training and worked with a trainer to overcome her fears.
Chris says “Daisy is quite fond of Kip and fills the big dog void that was missing from our lives.
She really is a sweetheart.”
Lucky
As per Lucky's new owner, "We couldn't be happier with Marlon (sorry, but
we have re-named him Lucky -- reflecting just how positively we feel about
him!). He has the sweetest disposition and has fit right in with our other
dog, Olive. They are bonding nicely. We thought you'd enjoy seeing them in
their first game of tug-of-war."
What a great testimonial! We couldn't be happier about Lucky's new home and
family!
Goofy
Goofy is a beautiful Labrador/Pyrenees young boy that has just been adopted into a wonderful home.
He's already fallen in love with a little Golden name Ginger. Apparently, they played so nicely together at their first meeting that Goofy required a bath afterwards!
According to Goofy's new owner, "My friends all think that he is a mush and he has been kissing everyone."
What a great new beginning for gorgeous Goofy!
Jack
Jack is a beautiful St. Bernard that has just been adopted into a
wonderful home. He has one eye due to a birth defect but he’s a
perfect one-eyed Jack. His previous owner was very sick and was
heartbroken to see Jack and his two Golden buddies Indy & Bray go.
Now he’s living the good life as a Jersey boy with his fellow animal
mates. He has three cat friends and several squirrel friends in his
fenced in yard. Ironically, the squirrels are the ones who don’t care
about Jack hanging around. They don’t even move when Jack is looking
at them through the back door.
According to Jack's new owner, "Jack has settled in perfectly. He’s
all groomed and loves sitting on the couch with us."
Indy & Brady
Indy & Bray, now Indy & Brady are happily living in northern
Westchester, where they have free reign of their new home and love
to be with their new owners. They don’t seem to miss Jack as they are
so bonded to one another. They are exceptionally sweet with good manners
both inside and outside the home. Soon they will begin training at
Petsmart to enhance their leash walking and good behavior so they can
enjoy even more experiences.
Indy & Brady’s owners say this, “Oh, we're so happy the golden boys
have come to live with us. And they seem happy too. The previous owners
of all three dogs were really good with them, and it shows."
Happy & Winston
Happy, the big black boy with the long tongue, is one of Ruff Start Rescue's first adoptions! He was found running around in Brooklyn and landed in NYC's Animal Care & Control facility.
After a foster stint with a wonderful family in Massachusetts, Happy found a home back in NYC.
Winston the puppy (aka Baily/Lucas) hails from South Carolina and has been breaking hearts ever since being rescued by RSR.
Winston met Happy during a several week stay at his second foster home. Needless to say, the two became fast friends. Their days involved lots of long walks, dog park visits and general roughhousing in the yard.
Winston went on to a great home (and a great owner!) in Massachusetts!
What a coincidence! These are two well-travelled boys!
